Byron Jaromir Dafoe (born February 25, 1971, in Sussex, England) is a Canadian * National Hockey League goaltender who played most recently with the Atlanta Thrashers. Dafoe made his NHL debut in the 1992-93 season, playing for the Washington Capitals. Dafoe also played for the Capitals in the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons. In 1995, Dafoe joined the Los Angeles Kings, with whom he stayed for two seasons. From 1997 to 2002, Dafoe played for the Boston Bruins; and from 2002 to 2004 he was with the Atlanta Thrashers.
Byron Dafoe retired from professional hockey following the NHL Lockout. He was 34.
Along with fellow NHLers Olaf Kolzig and Scott Mellanby, Dafoe is a founder of Athletes Against Autism.
